Test runs of unibike on the rigid rail were held at the acceptance tests with subsequent certification of the first samples of SkyWay rolling stock that are taking place at “EcoTechnoPark” now.
Prior to this, the most compact type of rolling stock ― unibike ― was tried on flexible and semi-rigid rails. The difference between various types of string rails was in the first place in the speed that rolling stock would be able to accelerate on them. A continuous flexible track structure, or flexible rail, can provide speed up to 150 km/h.
Semi-rigid solid structure, or semi-rigid rail, ― up to 250 km/h, and a rigid rail, or a truss, ― up to 500 km/h. Rolling stock of string transport is designed taking into account the possibility of motion on any of the track structure designs depending on the necessity.
Meanwhile, in the workshops of SkyWay pilot production facility the staff proceeds with preparing rolling stock to participate in the 11th International transport exhibition “Transport and logistics 2017”, which will be held in Minsk from 3 to 5 October 2017 in the framework of the Belarusian transport week. At the upcoming exhibition, SkyWay project designing organization plans to demonstrate publicly their latest developments ― a new model of security module and an industrial design of a three-piece passenger unicar. If the security module could be seen on site at EcoTechnoPark during EcoFest 2017 in July, the demonstration of unicar will occur for the first time.
Participation of SkyWay project designing organization at the exhibition “Transport and logistics” will be already the second in succession: a year earlier, our Company displayed here industrial designs of Yunitskiy’s rolling stock of the 4th generation that had made a successful debut prior to that at Europe’s largest International transport trade fair InnoTrans 2016 in Berlin.
